HERE ARE SOME THINGS WE’RE INTERESTED IN --- BUT USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!
- Virtually ANYTHING signed!
- Original handwritten lyrics
- Signed guitars or other instruments. If the instrument was played on a CD or in concert, it is good to know where and when.
- Clothing worn by the artist, signed or not. The clothing is more valuable if it was worn in a video, a CD cover, a photo shoot, or onstage. For major tours like Madonna or Prince, even backup dancers’ costumes have value.
- Gold records or other awards. This includes gold records given to label execs for their contributions to artists’ releases.
- Original costume sketches, set design sketches, props, etc., from videos and tours. (Even signed set lists from concerts have some value.)
- Original contracts or professional correspondence, signed
- Childhood memorabilia, personal letters, or other personal items
- Props from videos or photo shoots
- Very limited promotional items used for press purposes, even if unsigned by the artist. Promotional CDs, EPKs, release party invitations, and promo merch are all desired.
- Original photographs or negatives
- Locally-produced posters for gigs, flyers for gigs from before artists broke, etc.
- Rare or limited edition commercial releases
- Cameos in music videos
- Anything signed by the artist. The rarer the item, the better, but signed CDs, posters, flats, and glossies are welcome. Multiples are welcome, if you had the artist sign several copies.
- Tickets to music industry awards shows, concerts, or events in calendar year 2006.
- Unusual international items
- Signed items from artists’ merchandise lines. From Jennifer Lopez to Reba McIntyre, artists have clothing lines. Ditto make-up lines, perfumes, etc. We’re even interested in UNSIGNED items from older merch lines, like Cher’s "Uninhibited" perfume.
- Complete CD/video catalogs from major artists with substantial back catalog
- Vintage tour merchandise
- Complete press kits, including EPKs
- Cars owned by artists (hey, we can dream...)
The items listed above are roughly in descending order of commercial value (excluding the cars that you are all preparing to send). Of course, the rarer the item, the better, but again we emphasize: we want it all. We want to appeal to fans who can afford that $250,000 guitar, but we also want to reach teens who can only bid on a signed 8x10.
For major artists who are deceased, virtually any personal effects are welcome, provided we can account for their histories/provenances.
