WHAT IS BID 2 BEAT AIDS?
A huge annual entertainment memorabilia auction, with proceeds going to LIFEbeat, the music industry's AIDS fundraising and service charity. The first two Bid2BeatAIDS auctions raised over $175,000, and the tally from the 2007 auction has yet to be added --- thanks to all of you who participated! IS THIS STUFF REAL?
LIFEbeat absolutely guarantees that signatures are authentic and that items are real. Many of the items were signed by the celebrities just for us, many of them at TRL, the MTV Movie Awards, and the VMAs for our sponsor MTV or at our sponsors Borders Books and Music, Sirius Satellite Radio, and the Manhattan performance venues The Cutting Room and Comix. Each item comes with a certificate of authenticity, and many of them give details on where and when the items were signed.
